Football Wagga Wagga has asked clubs to remind Team Officials, Captains and Players of the following points:
Team Captains
- Do not have the right to approach the referee, during play, at half time or full time and ask questions or be present if a referee is speaking to one of the players.
- Your captain may be called upon if the referee needs the players to be aware of any issues the referee has during play.
- The captain's role is only for your club's purpose to direct players as advised by your coaching staff during a match. He/he has no official jurisdiction in regards to officials appointed to games.
Team Officials
- Only two team officials can be nominated on the Team Sheet.
- Are not to approach the Referees or Referee's Assistants at half time to ask questions or seek clarification on decisions. Please be mindful that the referees on your game have a ten minute break like the players, to have a drink and discuss game.
- At the completion of the game allow at least ten minutes before approaching referee for the team sheet. Again please be mindful of allowing the officials time for a drink and time to concentrate on completing the team sheet without interruptions.
Players
- Are not to approach the referee at all.
- Shorts - If undershorts are worn, they must be of the same main colour as the shorts.
- Shinguards - Must be covered entirely by the sock and provide a reasonable degree of protection.
